About the foundation
We fund people from Omuo-Oke Ekiti who are ready to move.
The Alebiosu Foundation is a private foundation. We give grants to sons and daughters of Omuo-Oke Ekiti, whether they live at home, in Lagos, or on the other side of the world.
Vision and mission
Our vision
A world where potential, wherever it exists, has the opportunity to be seen, supported and transformed into long-term impact.
Our mission
To give people with the will and potential to build the means to move forward.

Why Omuo-Oke
Because that's where we're from.
Plenty of people from Omuo-Oke have done well. Plenty more have finished school, or learned a trade, or started a farm, and then got stuck for want of a small amount of money at the right time.
We would rather put real money in the hands of a few people each round and follow them closely than spread small amounts thinly and never hear from anyone again.
You don't have to live in Omuo-Oke to apply. You just have to be from there.
How we work
Three words, and what we actually mean by them.
- 01
Empower.
We look for people who already have the will and a plan, and we take them seriously. We read every application properly and call the people on the shortlist.
- 02
Fund.
Then we give money that's big enough to change something: ₦1m to ₦1.5m per graduate in the first round. There are no loans, no repayments, and no fees.
- 03
Scale.
We stay in touch after the money goes out, and we'll open more programmes as we learn what works: entrepreneurs, farmers, and artisans.
How we decide
The same questions for everyone.
A small panel reads every application that meets the rules. Each one is scored on four things: how clear the plan is, whether it can realistically be done, how much difference the money would make, and where the person expects to be a year later.
The highest scores are shortlisted and called. After we check certificates and family roots, the final ranking decides who receives what.
If anyone on the panel is related to an applicant, they don't score that application. Knowing someone at the foundation doesn't help, and not knowing anyone doesn't hurt.
Staying safe
Things we will never do.
